Outlook Express FAQ's
. How do I set up Outlook Express to get my mail?
. From within Outlook Express click on
Tools|Accounts. Click on the mail tab. If you don't have an account showing
click add. If you do have an account click on properties. On the general tab
fill in the boxes for name of the service (i.e. Internet mail), your name (This
is what will show up on messages from you as the sender), your company
(optional), your e-mail address (for the service you are using such as joeblow@isp.com), and your reply address if different
(joeb@mycompany.com).
Go to the servers tab and fill in the outgoing and incoming server names
(available from your ISP). Complete the sections on Login using with your name
and password. If you are using MSN or certain other services you need to instead
select Log on using secure Password Authentication.
Go to the connection tab and select the method you use to access the Internet,
usually modem. If you are using a modem select the ISP you are using in the
Modem connection box. You are now done.
If you have more than one E-mail source you may repeat these steps to add
additional Internet E-mail connections (but not AOL or Juno).
. When I finish a message in Outlook express I click Send but it doesn't send
It. What do I have to do?
. Clicking send puts it in your outbox. You
then need to click send and receive on the tool bar to actually connect to the
Internet and send the message.
