Microsoft Word FAQ's

. When I open Word the default font is Arial 10 pt. How do I change the default font to something else?

. Start Word with no document loaded. Click on Format|Style. Click on the 'Modify' button and select the format button and select font. Select the font and size you want as your default for all future documents. Click OK. Put a check mark in the box for 'Add to template' and click OK. Then click apply. All future documents will use your new type face and size as their default.

. When I changed from Word 97 to Word2000 my menus are different. Most menu items aren't available until I click the little symbol at the bottom. Is there any way to change this?

. Yes. Click on Tools|Customize and uncheck the box that says 'Menus show recently used commands first'. Click OK and your Word will now show all menu items.
